- History of magic
- High wizard sovar?
- Ban of necromancy after the first dragon war, the temple of light spread across acrylia and other countries. In the larger temples there’s teams of paladins that hunt down necromancers. Usually supported by clerics.
- Norgvarr is not in the raven empire (it’s at the southern end of the continent), much of their culture relies on necromancy unfortunately. Their barbaric practices rely on sacrifice magic. Keeping souls in jars. Norgvarieans and the temples of light do not get along.
- Illithid incursion in mornstead. Thousands of years ago. Influenced laws about mind magic.
- The grand tomfoolery of 1482 (it’s 5861) made charms sussy (“restricted except in certain establishments”) tends to be allowed in theatres, brothels, etc.
