Notes
- Alchemy
- High wizard Balgrum hammerstone
- Expects the homework on ethical alchemy by end of class
- Alchemists and labs vs herbalists and nature (witches)
- Alchemy
- Formalized proper and respected field. May or may not have come out of witches cauldron brewing in huts in the forest. These two are not the same.
- Witches still brew potions, they’re inconsistent, but you can make potions in mega bulk batches in a cauldron
- Many resources used in labs are refined/rare, but traditionally they can be found in nature. Eyes of newt, tails of rat.
- Not all herbalists are witches
- Potion making like a witch can’t be written down easily to a formulary. Unknown why it can’t be written down.
- Alchemy can be learned by anyone.
- Herbalism is a subset of alchemy in gurps? Could be helpful.
