We head to the clock tower to meet zach, but he's in the Ghastly Parsnip Eatery instead of the clocktower. Because the red mage was in cyoria.
We get the Imperial Ring, We get a precise location of the Spirit Dagger from some cartographers in Azena. It is in Solrani in the Sanctuary Archipelago.
We portal out to Thal Grik nearby Solrani.
- The Lucky Lady Inn is in Thal Grik
We gate in to Solrani using some nice cartography tools and being smart
- Cracked stone work, dark blue grey with subtle striation, damp, but not a gyser of water through the portal
- A hazey light emanating from above us. Something is holding out the water above us.
- Buildings are made of stone, but have glass windows.
- Trickling water/small river in the distance.
- Above us is a massive glowing jellyfish, beyond the water barrier (presumably glass)
- There's a big glass wall glowing faint yellowish, it's a force field over the glass. fishes. Beyond that there's a tube.
- Whoever cast this spell is more powerful than any wizard alive
- We follow the wall to find where the tube connects. We poke around and eventually find our way there to where the crystal dagger is pointing. Then it flickers and goes east east north and up.
- In the room where we thought the dagger was has map charts of the surrounding islands. There's paperwork, with notes on the spirit dagger.
Notes on the spirit dagger
- Phadros - Daniel and Oliver Rivers - Cameron memorize it.
- The spirit dagger will be immensely useful to the people here. Useful for history culture knowledge. For the creation of skilled mages. The "learn spell instantly" ability is OP and costs a lot of energy. Takes 100 minutes before they can use it again. Using the dagger is hard because finding more spell books and scrolls is hard.
- The writing tablet is a chalk board. It says "We should take it to the island of last hope.". Not clear what it's referring to. (probably taking the dagger there).
- The islands move at different times of year. The maps here plot that out.
- It is very sharp
- The gate is useful to study, but inactive due to planar interference. Located in the back room of this building.
- Oliver Rivers - Cameron shits on the desk.
We check out the gate
- Made of roughly carved rocks stacked up till they make an arch at the top. The keystone has another stone in front of it it, but the stone in front looks like it's resting in the keystone slot. It is a magic item that can be removed.
- Like a wayring, Gates are crazy to make.
- Reminiscent of Neustrils Endless Hall
We find a throne room
- Big ol throne. Seems like there were bolt holes, but anything that wasn't stone or glass is gone.
- stone benches behind the pillars for viewing
- everything is stone, nothing else
Vault room is empty
We gate to Island of Last Hope.
- Small island with waterfalls
- A village with short bird people
- The Spirit Dagger is in the village
- The bird people use the chalk boards to talk. Same as what we found in the map room in Solrani. They don't talk. They use feathery sign language to communicate with each other.
- The buildings looks strange. Blue grey stone. Some wooden houses that look collapsible, folding houses. A couple inflatable houses.
- Well made ditches flowing through the town aiming down to the coast. They're pretty large, almost rivers. Short bridges made of stone, or able to be picked up and moved.
- The birds are cleaning up some ruins at the edge of town.
- The trees look floppy.
- A bell rings, and the kenku puts down their tools and starts packing up their houses and moving their stuff.
- The buildings have glass windows, stone building entrances have gaskets to seal nice.
- The dagger seemed to be on a desk. But then flickers and is in Kamtara.
- A kenku with a blue shawl waves at us.
- The stone buildings are from the markavian era.
- We agree to a memory wipe when we leave
- A research team has taken the dagger to Kamtara.
- They're off to the temple of Windar to study the orb (Windar's plane)
- Hoping to gain more knowledge for the local spellcasters, learn about other planes.
- Will be back in a few weeks, a bit unclear.
- Fate is nearby ( a celestial orb) has giant bugs.
- Mentioned the other continent. many ruins from the markavian empire. doesn't know about the Pendant of the Mind.
- The green mage is the mayor of mageport
- There's also a bronze mage out there, doing research on gnomish things or something
- We gain access to the mind control college
