We gather the things, and head out to the place. We remember the potion outside. The potion can be taken in shots, and Solstice tries it out. Solstice is 6" tall. We enter the clockwork tower. We remember we brought our premium 20' ultralight ladder, and bundle of rope. Phaidros sees a mechanism in the crushers that could possibly be jammed in the future as he magnificently rolls beneath them. Solstice messes up the grabber arm, and we study the pattern, then slip through. We slide down the tube to the main chamber, and get Solstice to inspect the mini contraption in the middle of the chamber.

Solstice only sees the mechanisms, not the rooms and walls. One mechanism behind door 5 is connected to the blocking walls. Steam pipes connected behind door 3, gyro mechanism behind door 4. Door 2 has factory mechanisms, and a bunch of sliding pieces and actuators, as well as stuff connected to the steam (tube) network. That interacts with Door 3 tubes, and a bunch of points spread around the factory. Door 1 is connected to large plate gears beneath the main chamber.

We go into Door 1, and it has the big robot arm with spinning death gears beneath. We use the ladder to reach the walkway 15' above the robot arm. We see the two stone doors are decorated with little glyphs on the metal casing on the inside of the door. The doors are filled with stone, so we cannot go through them. We see that there are gears and such (a transmission type thing) above us that interacts with the rest of the machinery in the room. Phaidros and Milo manage to disengage the transmission at the top, which turns off all the gears down below. This stops the main chamber from spinning. We re-engage the transmission, and the center chamber rotates, and then we disengage the transmission again.

Solstice is investigating which of the steam handles we need to turn to open things. Rooms 5 and 6 have pipes going through them, but not ending in them. Four of the pressure gauges are low (open doors to rooms), two are max (closed doors to rooms 5 and 6). The other gauges for the equipment look to be in the middle. Moving the steam handles we need to put them in the correct position to have the doors open. It seems to be positional rather than open/closing a valve. All the gauges are now higher pressure - above max. We close door 5 again, and the pressure drops to max.

Phaidros stays in room 4, which seems to be an observation room, while Milo goes back to room 3 to play with the steam handles. Dial 1 seems to pressurize the system, while also letting out a big pile of steam in room 6. Vertical pieces slow down in room 4. Dial 2 disengages some machinery in room 4. It also makes room 2 geyser steam and again the pressure builds. Milo closes door 1, and it reduces the pressure of the system, and steam stops geysering from room 2. The pipes start to rumble. Dial 3 slows down gears spinning in the horizontal plane, and there is only a small amount of steam from room 6.

We close dials 1,2,3 to slow dow nand decouple everything possible in room 4, and close all the doors except for room 4 and room 6. Pipe 3 is rumbling real bad, so Milo plays with a new dial to room 2, hoping it reduces the steam pressure. And it works! Phaidros is climbing down through the gears, which are spinning less fast, and makes it to the bottom with only one foot getting munched by the gears. He sees a complex gyroscope connected to sensitive balances and scales that adjusts the transmission of the machinery.

Phaidros looks at this, and thinks it may be connected to the entire orientation of the factory. The gyroscope and scales could be interacted with, but it does not appear to be within the normal operating scope. Phaidros jiggles the gyro, and the whole building shakes. Phaidros flips the gyro upside down, and everything starts to tilt. Milo engages his soul sight, and the object we desire is tilting along with the building. The vent in the ceiling in the main room that provides light is now cut off. There is a glowing crystal down with Phaidros, so he can still see. The entire building completely flips over. it is pitch black in Milo's room. Pipe 3 and 6 are both rumbling. Milo notes that the pipe handles can all be reached when the room is upside down.

We as a group can tell that the item we seek is behind door 6, and is no longer moving. Solstice heard grinding coming from behind door 6 when the building flipped, was it one of the secret doors opening?

Milo re-activates all the stuff in room 4, there is now whirring death surrounding Phaidros. Milo and Solstice are trying to figure out how to get to door 6 in the dark and with everything upside down. We decide to flip back, have Solstice go for room 6, while Milo goes for the red danger lever. Phaidros will then flip upside down a second time.

The red lever is pulled, Solstice sees the secret door #1 lift, and door #2 has scrape marks on it! Room 1's door is annihilated by steam and room 4 is also instantly filled with steam.
